Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy can help you cope with trauma, whether it’s caused by a one-time event, or an ongoing or long-lasting situation. It allows you to address the traumatic event or circumstance and process your feelings and emotions.
There are several common forms of trauma that can be addressed in therapy; however, it’s important to note that trauma can include any event or experience that causes emotional or psychological harm.
Specific symptoms of trauma vary widely between individuals, but can most commonly present as anxiety, flashbacks, nightmares, repetitive and distressing images, difficulty sleeping, hyperarousal, physical sensations such as pain, sweating, and/or feeling sick.
